If you drive to work in the Clean Air Zone
Alternatives to driving to work
Use the Network West Midlands journey planner to see your options for commuting by public transport. If you travel on three or more days per week, a season ticket will work out cheaper than paying your fare every day. If you’re travelling on fewer days, make sure you get the best fares by using a swift card or mobile app. More about public transport fares and tickets.
If you live within two miles of your workplace, walking is a great option, and up to five miles each way is achievable even for a less experienced cyclist. Google will plan a walking route for you, or try the CycleStreets journey planner for cycling route options.
If you live and work near to a friend or colleague, car sharing could save you both money.
If you do choose to continue driving to work, you can read more about upgrading your car.
