Visitors to specified hospitals
Staff, patients and visitors attending shifts or appointments at medical practices within the Clean Air Zone and who drive a vehicle that does not meet the emission standards will be required to pay the daily charge unless they have an exemption.
This includes:
- GP surgeries
- Hospitals
- Clinics
- Dentists
The only exemption will be visitors or patients attending appointments or visits at the following medical practices as they provide out-of-hours emergency treatment:
- Birmingham Children's Hospital
- Bath Row Medical Practice (Attwood Green Health Centre)
- Badger Medical
- Millennium Point for Covid vaccinations
Visitors and patients attending these buildings can ask staff at the site for a voucher on each day of their visit (including visits which cross the midnight threshold). This must be redeemed online within seven days to void the charge.
Please note that one voucher will be required for each day of the visit, so appointments or visits which cross the midnight threshold (ie arriving at 10pm and leaving at 2am) will require two vouchers.
The vouchers will be able to collect from reception and must be redeemed online within six days of the appointment by inputting the unique code beneath a foil scratching. Full details and instructions will be printed on the voucher.
