The Clean Air Zone vehicle scrappage scheme
What is on offer
The Vehicle Scrappage Scheme offers successful applicants a choice of one of three grants subject to scrapping their existing non-compliant vehicle and providing evidence of the Certificate of Destruction (CoD).
Available packages are as follows:
Option A – Scrappage Only Grant
A scrappage grant of £2,000 will be paid directly into the applicant’s bank account when a non-compliant vehicle is scrapped.
Total value of £2,000.
Option B - Scrappage Grant + Single Public Transport Credit
A scrappage grant of £1,600 paid directly into the applicant’s bank account together with £1,500 of Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) travel credit paid into the applicant’s Swift account.
Total value of £3,100.
Option C – Scrappage Grant + Two Public Transport Credits
A scrappage grant of £1,000 paid directly into the applicant’s bank account together with two Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) travel credits of £1,500 each. These travel credits are to be shared with another family member. One travel credit will be paid into the applicant’s Swift account. The additional travel credit will be paid into the additional named person’s Swift account (as specified on the application). Total value of £4,000.
