The Clean Air Zone vehicle scrappage scheme
What is on offer
If your application is successful, you can choose one of three grants.
To receive a grant, you must scrap your existing non-compliant vehicle and provide evidence of the Certificate of Destruction (CoD).
Option A: Scrappage grant only
You will receive:
- £2,000 directly into your bank account
Total value: £2,000.
Option B: Scrappage grant and public transport credit
You will receive:
- £1,600 paid directly into your bank account
- £1,500 Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) travel credit paid into your Swift account
Total value: £3,100.
Option C: Scrappage grant and 2 public transport credits
You will receive:
- £1,000 paid directly into your bank account
- £1,500 TfWM travel credit paid into your Swift account
- £1,500 TfWM travel credit paid into the Swift account of a family member named on your application
Total value: £4,000.
Using your travel credit
Travel credit is available if you choose Option B or Option C.
The travel credit expires 2 years after the date it is issued.
